The Book Shop

Above are contact sheets of the photos I took at the 'Book Shop' in Montpellier. 

The Book shop offers a large collection of English books and they also have a little cafe and you can sit inside or outside and enjoy reading a book while having a little coffee. It is a friendly place in the historical center of Montpellier.

I took photos of the shop, specially downstairs. It was very tricky because the lighting was very low and I had to play about with my aperture and shutter speed. 

I met an employee there, she was very pleasant to talk to. Below is a portrait of her. 

I took a self portrait in the shop downstair in a little mirror which was hiding behind some curtains. (See below)

The Photo below is my personal favourite. I think the strongest aspect of this photo is the mood and atmosphere as well as the composition. Tis man is sitting right under a light and the wall of bricks forms an arch around him. You can tell he is in a library thanks to the shelves with loads of books next to him.
